RSU/MSAD NO. 64 TRANSFER OF BUDGETED FUNDS WITHIN THE
2011-2012 DISTRICT BUDGET APPROVED BY THE VOTERS AT THE
ANNUAL DISTRICT BUDGET MEETING HELD ON JUNE 27, 2011
AND VALIDATED BY VOTE ON JUNE 30, 2011
RSU/MSAD No. 64 Board of Directors has a policy (P3160), which ensures that monies remain as approved by the voters in various program lines unless the Board votes to transfer allocations from one budget category to another to compensate for unanticipated or emergency situation(s). This action requires a ¾ vote approval of the members present and voting and must be preceded by public notice of not less than seven days.
As a result of a possible construction project for RSU/MSAD No. 64, and to comply with the timeline established by the Maine Department of Education’s Major Capital Improvement Program, site-related expenditures during the current fiscal year may be necessitated. At the Regular Monthly Board Meeting scheduled for April 23, 2012 which will be held at the Central High School starting at 7:00 P.M., the Board of Directors of RSU/MSAD No. 64 will be considering the transfer of up to $25,000 from the Contingency line to a newly created Construction line for the purpose of Major Capital Improvement Program related expenditures.
The transfer of funds will not impact the Town assessment.
